Identify the exact vehicle and wheel package

Tesla models can have multiple factory wheel options and different front and rear tire sizes. Do not order from the model name alone or copy a size from a different generation. Match your vehicle’s label and the appropriate manual.

Treat range claims as comparisons

Ask for like-for-like evidence. A comfortable commute, predictable wet-road behavior and suitable load capacity may outweigh a small measured efficiency difference for you. Decide which tradeoffs matter.

Read beyond the EV badge

EV positioning may refer to efficiency, noise or construction features. Tesla identifies some tires developed for its vehicles with T-mark designations. Check any vehicle-specific requirements with Tesla or a qualified installer.

Acoustic foam is a separate feature from load capacity or winter suitability. Ask whether the quoted version includes it and what service procedures apply. Identical product-family names do not establish identical features.

Include seasonal needs and ownership cost

For a snowy winter, evaluate a dedicated winter set versus a year-round all-weather setup. All-wheel drive does not settle the tire choice.

Track wear, follow the permitted rotation plan and investigate alignment problems. Compare the installed cost and warranty conditions. A suitable EV tire should fit the car and your driving priorities; a label alone cannot make that decision.
